This is real world problem solving: Fifth graders lost their soccer privilege at recess. They collaborated to come up with a plan about how to show good sportsmanship and then presented it to Ms. Consolla.

No School On Monday, January 15th

School will be closed on this Monday in observance of the Martin Luther King, Jr, holiday. We will re-open on Tuesday and expect to see everyone by 8:30am. As a reminder the end of the quarter is coming up. Plan ahead for early release dates and teacher workdays.

Thursday, Jan 25--Dismissal at 1:30pm

Friday, Jan 26 & Monday, Jan 29--No school because of teacher workdays

Goodbye to Ms. Young

Over the winter break, Ms. Joy Young made the difficult decision to retire from her position as our student information assistant to spend time with her family. Joy started at Mount Eagle in 1988. For so many families, she was the first person they met at our school. We are putting together a memory book for her and welcome any and all cards, letters and photos that you would like to share. Send them to the office by Jan 19.

MySchoolBucks is Coming to Mount Eagle

This week families received a letter about MySchoolBucks, an online payment service that allows you to make secure payments for school purchases such as field trip payments. Chuck.E.Cheese PTO Fundraiser on Thursday

You can support your PTO this coming Thursday, January 19th. A portion of the proceeds earned at Chuck.E.Cheese (across Rte 1, next to Wal-Mart) will go to our PTO to support our field trips, enrichment clubs and making Mount Eagle an amazing place to learn.
