Fine Dining at Fort Belvoir Primary

Congratulations to the following classes as they have earned Fine Dining during their regular scheduled lunchtime! The students are excited to eat on the cafeteria stage and family members are welcome to join. Please note that this is an ongoing behavior incentive for the cafeteria as once a class has earned 50 points, they start earning points towards their next Fine Dining!

Level IV AAP Screening

FCPS offers level IV, full-time advanced academic services for students who are found eligible in grades 3-6.  The deadline for level IV referrals is January 12, 2018, including supporting documentation (parent questionnaire, letters of recommendation, work samples).  Please follow the link below for more information on the process and contact  Kathryn Moreno-Dunk, Fort Belvoir Primary AART, with any questions at kmorenodunk@fcps.edu .

Secret

Don't miss The Secret Garden at Mount Vernon High School on Friday, January 19 at 7pm and Saturday, January 20 at 2pm and 7pm.  Ticket prices are $5 for children 5 and under; $7 for students; $8 for Military/Seniors/FCPS Staff; and $10 General Admission.  Tickets may be purchased at the door or online at https://www.itickets.com/events/383887.html.


Autism Spectrum Disorder

FBCH now has a monthly clinic for parents who want to be informed on services available to children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Parents may attend even without a diagnosis.

 

The clinic is held the first Thursday, of the first full week of the month (without holidays). May be confusing, next dates are:

January 11th and  February 8th

FBCH Medical Library S1.902 (Sunrise)

No registration or appointment required

  3. You will receive a confirmation email that your account has been established
  4. Make purchases with your credit/debit card or electronic checks
  5. There are no convenience fees for using the online payment system

Cold Weather

As the temperatures start to drop, please remind your student to wear a coat to school. We want to make sure that they are all dressed warmly and appropriately for the elements, including recess.

Inclement Weather

Accompanying the dropping temperatures, comes the possibility of inclement weather that could result in school closings or delays. FCPS provides information about closings and delays in many ways including:

* Posted to the FCPS Twitter and Facebook pages.

* Email and text messages sent to parents (using the parent contact information listed in weCare@school).
