winter concert2

Be our guest at the Winter Concert!

Come and enjoy a show by Cameron's own band, choral and strings students.  There will be two show times, 2:00 pm and 7:00 pm, in the Gym.  Pick the time that works for you and come be serenaded!

Make a Plan for Bad Weather Days

It is that time of year again when Mother Nature may start to affect the normal hours of the school day.  Fairfax County Public Schools have a few different weather related closings and delays; 2 hour delay, 2 hour early closing and a full day closure.

On days when FCPS is on a 2 hour delay Cameron will:

  • Doors open: 11:00am
  • Classroom Lessons start: 11:20am
  • Dismissal:  4:05pm

On days when FCPS has decided it is in the best interest of students and staff to dismiss early an emergency announcement will go out to parents/guardians (list below) and Cameron will dismiss at 2:05pm.

If FCPS closes schools for the day, Cameron will be closed and there will be no school for students.

FCPS will communicate to parents and the community through multiple channels:

  • @FCPSnews Twitter account (with blue checkmark)
  • Email
  • Text
  • Website
  • Other Social Media
  • News Stations

It is a good idea to have a conversation with your student(s) and have a well-communicated plan in place in the event of these emergency situations.  Children need to know where to go or what to do if a parent will not be home.

Level IV Advanced Placement Screening

To all parents of 2nd-6th graders, the deadline for parent referrals for the Advanced Academic Placement program is January 12, 2018.  You may access the referral form online.  For more information on the program please visit the Elementary Advanced Academics Identification and Placement for Current FCPS Students on www.fcps.edu.  If you have any questions please contact Cameron's AART, Lachelle Williams, at lrwilliams2@fcps.edu.
