Mrs.
Wheeler, Oak Hill ES Advanced Academic Resource Teacher, will hold a parent
information session on Thursday, December 7, from 9:00-10:00 am in
our school café. She will share what documentation parents may provide
for a 2nd grade pool file or a 2nd-6th grade
parent referral file. **CogAt scores are not expected back until early
January. At that time, 2nd grade parents will be notified
if their child is in the screening pool. If the child is not in the pool,
parents may submit a referral. Pool and referral files are screened at
the same time in the same manner. The hard deadline to turn in
referrals/supporting documentation for 2nd grade pool files or
2nd – 6th grade referral files is close of
business January
12, 2018. Parents should not wait for scores to come back
if they want their child screened for Level IV services.
On
our Oak Hill website, you will find Mrs. Wheeler’s parent presentation from
September 22, 2017, as well as a link to a video she created that guides you
through the Advanced Academic website.

Spirit Day- On Wednesday, December 13th, staff
and students are invited to wear their most festive winter
clothing. We are all getting excited for our winter break and thought
this was a fun way to get us in the spirit for the upcoming holidays. We
hope to see many staff and students dressed in festive favorite winter colors. Some examples include toboggans, snowmen t-shirts/sweaters, and/or fuzzy socks.
Hour of Code in Mrs. Bowers' class.
December 4 to December 8 is Hour of Code week. Millions of
