SOTM

merit

Please congratulate Elizabeth Smith, Avery Nguyen, Eric Smith, and Sinclaire Jones. By virtue of their performance on the PSAT exam, they are Lake Braddock’s 2018 National Merit Semifinalists. They are among the Nation’s students who earned scores in the top 1% of all who took the PSAT in 2016, and they are now eligible to apply as National Merit Finalists and go on to compete for scholarships that will be offered in the spring of 2018.

yearbook

The 2017 Lair yearbook has been selected by CSPA (Columbia Scholastic Press Association) as a Crown Award recipient. Crown Awards are the highest recognition given by the CSPA to a student print or digital medium for overall excellence. Only 50 schools from across the country were recognized this year. In March, at the Spring convention in NYC, the staff will learn if they have earned a Silver or Gold Crown. This will be the third crown in a row for the yearbook program at Lake Braddock.

toys for tots

The MS SCA is sponsoring Toys for Tots.  Our drive ends Friday, December 8 .  Please bring in new, unwrapped toys for needy kids!  Toys can be turned in to your history or civics class.

Attention Senior Parents:

It has come to the yearbook staff's attention that the website for creating baby ads can be confusing. The yearbook staff can help you create your ad if you are having trouble. Feel free to email lbseniorads@gmail.com with questions or to set up an appointment to come in and work with a staffer. We have also extended the deadline to submit ads until the end of December.
