All Fairfax County public schools will close two hours early on
Wednesday, November 22, in an effort to help school buses avoid the
increased traffic related to the Thanksgiving holiday. This policy has been in
effect for the past few years. Waynewood Elementary will release students at 2:00 PM, please make arrangements accordingly. Schools are closed on November 23 and 24. Classes will resume on November 27.
This school year, students will be released early on the last day
of each quarter, the day before Thanksgiving break, and the last day of school
