Dear CES Families,
It is hard to believe that the first quarter is already over! We are so proud of the CES students for all of their successes and accomplishments so far! The final week of the quarter was filled with plenty of fun and learning. Our kindergarten students shared their favorite character and book through the annual Book Character Parade. We also had a Positivity Project Pep Rally to celebrate the important character traits we have learned about. Thank you to all of the CES community for supporting us through the Book Fair.

CES Soaring Eagles
Please share your thoughts with the staff! CES Soaring Eagles are compliments, kudos, etc. that we will share with the staff. What a great way to show your appreciation and to help make the CES Staff's week positive! Please click HERE to share your CES Soaring Eagles!
This week and next week our students focused on the trait of Bravery.
At the end of the two weeks, they will understand and
appreciate that bravery takes three primary forms: mental, moral, and physical.
Bravery refers to voluntary (not coerced) action in the face of a dangerous
circumstance. This strength involves judgment; the brave person must have an
understanding of the risks and consequences involved in acting. That means that
bravery is not the absence of fear, but rather the overcoming of fear.
Picture Make-ups/Retakes
Picture Make-up/Retake
Day will be Wednesday, Nov. 15th. If students were absent
on Wednesday, Oct. 4th they will receive a picture order form. If you wish to have your
child retake their picture, please return their package the day of picture
retakes.
Veteran's Day @ CES
Friday, November 10th, in honor of Veteran's Day, CES would like to invite veterans to our school. We will have a special lunch prepared to enjoy with your student(s). We also would like to invite you to read to students in classrooms around our building. This is a great opportunity for our students to learn about how you have served and to show their appreciation for your service.
If you'd like to be a guest reader please click HERE to sign up. You can choose to sign up for the 10:00am - 12:00pm time slot or for the 12:45 - 2:45pm time slot. Lunch for all guest readers and their children will be held in the library from 12:00pm - 12:45pm.
Thank you so much for your service. We hope many veterans will be able to attend this special event at CES. If you are interested, please sign up using this form.
