Ahoy from the Cav Cruise Committee!
First we would like to thank all of
you that have donated your shoes to our Funds2Org Shoe Drive. Thus far,
we have collected 5,550 shoes of the needed 7500. WE ARE 75%
THERE and in the home stretch with a few more weeks to go. Below
are a few key dates coming up for those of you who have not cleaned out our
closets for us yet!! We are so close…help us get there!!!
FRIDAY, November 3 - We will be at
the main gate to the football field at 6:30pm, prior to the home football game,
to collect shoes and sell our Class of 2018 Yard Signs.
SATURDAY - November 11 - We wil have
our LAST Saturday drop off from 8am-12pm at Door 5, by the athletic entrance to
the school.
As a reminder, we are looking for
shoes of all varieties (kids, mens, womens, boots, sandals, cleats….) in good
condition, clean with no holes. As always, you may drop of your shoes in the
WTW front office, or contact Anne at cavcruisedirector@woodsonptso.org.

1.We could use some help of adults
or strong kids on Friday, November 3 from 1:30-3pm as the
Funds2Org people are coming to relieve us of our 222 bags of shoes. They
are heavy and help is needed to haul all the shoes on to their truck.
2. We are looking for a contact with
a local florist and printer for some needs down the road. If you know of
someone who might be willing to partner with us.
3. We are looking for an assistant
volunteer for Community Outreach. This is a portion where we reach out to
businesses and orgs in the community for donations. Letters need to be
sent and involves some follow up. It is a job more suited for two,
so an additional person to help is needed (preferable from the Fresh, Soph
or Junior class to help, so we can pass along the process at the same time).
4. We are looking for a few
restaurant or movie gift or other card donations for a shoe drive
teacher contest. If you have any cards you could donate around
please let us know.
NEXT UP
You will not hear from us much until Spring, when we
will be asking for volunteers from all classes to help with the actual All
Night Grad Party – the Cav Cruise.
In the meantime, we will be hosting the T-shirt Logo
Contest starting in December for the Seniors. Stay tuned to the We-Mail,

Tickets, Grad Seat Raffle, and Yard Sign sales will
continue. Event Ticket prices increase March 26 to $100.
