Teachers at Dogwood are looking forward to meeting with each family to discuss your child’s social, emotional, and academic progress and next steps for growth. If you need to contact your child’s classroom teacher or would like to schedule a conference with a specialist (Physical Education, Music, Art, STEAM teacher), please call Dogwood at 703-262-3100 or email the teacher directly. Students at Dogwood ES (K-6) have online access to DreamBox Learning Math, a rigorous, engaging, and highly adaptive math program that helps all students improve math proficiency. Click here for your child to log into DreamBox.
Our Advanced Academics Resource Teacher, Jean Wyche, has prepared a video that captures the continuum of Advanced Academics services that are provided at Dogwood. In addition to this video, Mrs. Wyche will be present at our Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) meeting on Thursday November 9th at 7:00 pm.

Students in grades K-6 participate in (FLE) instruction through their classroom teacher. Students in Kindergarten through grade three receive instruction through an emotional and social health unit. Students in grades 4-6 receive instruction through a human growth and development unit. For more information about the Family Life Education curriculum, join us for a FLE Parent Information Meeting on Wednesday November 8th at 6:00 pm.
It is important that our students are present and available for learning each day. In order to ensure that students are able to focus on learning, it is important that students do not wear Halloween costumes during the school day.
We welcome you and your children to join in our parking lot from 4:30-5:30 on October 31st for Trunk or Treat. Costumes are welcome at this after-school event.
