Join Us Tonight at Chuck E Cheese's

It is that time of year again where a kid can be a kid!  Don't forget to join us tonight, Friday, October 27th from 3:00-9:00pm to have some fun while also supporting our sixth grade team!  We will be at the Kings Crossing Chuck E Cheese's, 6301 Richmond Highway, Alexandria, VA 22306.

Book Character Parade

On Tuesday, October 31st we will be having a Character Book Parade from 3:00-4:00pm!  The theme for this year's parade is "We are Super Readers!"  This is a school wide event where students, as well as teachers, are encouraged to dress as favorite book characters and parade through the school along with the book that features their chosen character.  Please make sure your student's outfit is appropriate for school.  Students should not dress in scary, Halloween costumes, or anything which violates school policy.  All character costumes should connect with a book.  Following last year's tradition our principal, Mr. Slayter, will end the event with a read aloud of a special story in the gym.  Parents are invited to come and view the parade.

Date Change- Family Life Education Preview

Please be aware that the Family Life Education Preview date has been changed since the first flyers went home last week.  The newest pink flyers that came home in this week's Wednesday folder are the correct date, Wednesday, October 15, 2017.  Kindergarten through sixth grade parents are invited to attend a materials preview night at Clermont Elementary, 5720 Clermont Drive, Alexandria, VA 22310.  The preview night will take place in the Library from 6:30-8:00pm.  For more information please refer to the two paged pink flyer that came home in your student's weekly folder.
