The Franklin Sherman Flash

What's Happening in 2nd Grade?

Math workshop is in full swing for FSES second graders!  Students enjoy practicing math skills through fun, challenging activities and games.  They also have opportunities to work with partners and problem solve together. Recently, they've been working hard on place value, skip counting, and rounding.

Family Science Night Fun

On Tuesday, September 26, Franklin Sherman families enjoyed an evening of science.  Franklin Sherman teachers partnered with the Children’s Science Center to bring their Family Science Night Program to FSES to help encourage students to take interest in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) subjects, as well as to encourage students to develop curiosity in everyday life situations.  During the event, students and their parents had the opportunity to engage in many fun, yet educational, science activities.
