Nationals Game

On Saturday, September 16, 2017, the Lake Braddock Army JROTC traveled to Nationals Park where they opened the baseball game by presenting the Nations Colors for the playing of the National Anthem. The color guard consisted of commander cadet LTC Michael Tempesta, MAJ Connor Glynn, CPT Ad-am Stack, CPT Chris Jun, and CSM Declan Deady. On hand to oversee and witness this event was Assistant Principal Brett Garner and JROTC Instructor SFC Wayne Wiles. The Nationals representative that made this event possible is Mr. Joseph Macisso, who also happens to be a Lake Braddock class of 2012 graduate.

Pink Out for the Cure

This Friday’s away football game vs. Robinson will be a Pink-Out 4 the Cure in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.  Lake Braddock and Robinson will be uniting to raise money and awareness for the cause. Pink t-shirts will be sold Thursday and Friday for $5 in the Activities Office and HS lunches. Shirts will be $7 at the football game.  ALL proceeds will be sent to the Virginia Breast Cancer Foundation (https://www.vbcf.org/).  Let’s fill the stadium with PINK! We thank you for your support.

Socktober

As part of the 8th grade Philanthropy Capstone Project, students will be collecting NEW pairs of socks in ALL sizes through their Social Studies classes. The SOCKTOBER drive will be held from Monday, September 25th through Friday October 6th.

Did you know that socks are the least donated items to most homeless shelters? Every night in the United States, an estimated 600,000 people live on the streets. This September and October, we want to prove that even a small act of love, such as donating a pair of socks, can make a big difference in the lives of our Northern Virginia neighbors who are poor or homeless.

ANYONE may donate. ALL donations are gratefully appreciated. Thank you for your participation and support of LBSS Philanthropists giving Time, Talent & Treasure for the Common Good."

Hurricane Relief - thank you

Thank you to the Lake Braddock Community for your support and donations during the Hurricane Harvey Relief Drive. We have compiled a video of the effort to load the truck.
