Laps for Learning is Tomorrow!
We can’t wait to see you tomorrow at our Laps for Learning event! Please plan to arrive at 7:30 so there will be ample time for all of our runners to check in by grade level and receive their bib at the registration tables. Please allow ample time for parking and walking to the school because the school parking lots and the roads immediately in front of the school will not be available for parking. Please use Old Creek Drive, Pickett Rd, Nutwood Way, and other surrounding streets. We ask that families needing to make a quick getaway from the event due to other commitments that morning please park on the outskirts of the race so that they are not blocked in by the participants and will limit any possible congestion.
We are looking forward to a wonderful morning with the Olde Creek community!
Woodson Feeder Night Football Game is Tonight
The Woodson Activities Department would like to invite you to their Annual Elementary Feeder Night Football game tonight! Students will get to represent their elementary school and run across the field prior to the game. The football game starts at 7:00pm and the students will meet at 6:30 PM under the scoreboard. Please arrive early so you don’t miss this fun event. A Free Admission Coupon can be found at the bottom of this email.
Joy of Dance Registration
Registration is now open for the many Joy of Dance classes that are available at Olde Creek. Flyers have been sent home and registration and more information is available at the link below.

PTA General Session on October 4
Please save the date for the PTA General Session meeting on October 4 at 7:00 in the Olde Creek Library. Olde Creek students and staff members will be giving a presentation about the many technology resources that our families can use to stay connected with their student’s learning journey. The session will be interactive and we will have computers set up for everyone to use. We hope to see you there!
Outdoor Clean-Up Day on Saturday, October 14
Calling all gardeners, carpenters, and outdoor enthusiasts! We will have an Outdoor Clean-Up Day on Saturday, October 14 from 9:00 - 12:00. We will be trimming overgrown plants, setting up our new raised garden beds, installing outdoor seating, building all-weather whiteboards, and much, much more. Free Breakfast on September 29
Fairfax County is providing a free breakfast to all students on Friday, September 29. Any interested students can visit our cafeteria in the morning on the way to class next Friday.
Elevation Burger Family Dinner Night on Wednesday, September 27
Come out to Elevation Burger from 5:00 - 8:00 on Wednesday, September 27 for a great meal and a fun evening with the community. A portion of the proceeds from this event will go directly to our school!
PTA Membership
We have an amazing PTA at Olde Creek and we would love for you to be a part of it. There are many ways for you to be involved in this organization that provides such great support to our school. Purple PTA registration forms have been sent home and you can join online through the PTA website.

Advanced Academics Parent Information Night - Thursday, October 12
Please save the date for our Advanced Academics Parent Information Night on Thursday, October 12 from 6:30 - 7:30. This will be a time where you can learn about the Level IV screening process and Advanced Academic resources that are available at our school.
