Dear Rocky Run Families,

Welcome fall!  Tomorrow, Friday, September 22 is a Student Holiday and School Planning day for staff.  We hope you will enjoy the long weekend with your family.  The weather has been gorgeous lately and I hope you are able to be outdoors and do the things you enjoy doing together!

Have you ever wondered what happens at Rocky Run while students are home from school?  Tomorrow, Rocky Run teachers will be participating in a half day professional development workshop with the entire Chantilly Pyramid group of teachers (over 800) at Franklin Middle School and Chantilly High School.  From preschool to 12th grade, teachers will be building connections, sharing resources, and participating in meaningful conversations about the teaching and learning happening in classrooms with a focus on the FCPSOn initiative.  This professional development opportunity is expected to facilitate collaboration and networking across schools.  I look forward to sharing our work with you on Twitter.  Please follow me @DrGoodloe and all of the good things happening @RockyRunMS.

Please feel free to reach out to me with your feedback, questions and suggestions.  I hope to see you at Rocky Run MS very soon.

Amy T. Goodloe, Ed.D.
