Dear Parents and Guardians,
Please call Mrs. Carnahan at 703-988-8202 if you have not signed up for Parent Vue. Report Cards will be delivered to parents through Parent Vue. No report cards will be sent through US mail. We want all parents to be informed of student grades. Please be sure to sign up!
Thank you to all the car riders who reconsidered riding the bus in the mornings. It has begun to shorten our car rider line. We would still like more to consider riding the bus, and thus alleviate the morning traffic in the parking lot.
Yesterday we conducted our first lockdown drill of the year. Students did an outstanding job! We will continue to practice this important drill along with fire drills and other safety drills throughout the year.
School Photo Day on September 11
Photo day at Liberty Middle School is on Monday, September 11, during PE classes. Students were sent home last week with a photo flyer with a “tear off” envelope attached to the flyer. If you did not get a flyer, please ask your child’s PE teacher or the main office for a flyer.
Please mark your background choices and photo package choices on your child’s envelope and send the envelope with your payment (checks should be made out to Lifetouch NSS) to school with your child on Monday.

Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology – Information Session at Liberty
TJHSST is a FCPS regional governor’s high school (grades 9-12) for students interested in STEM (science, technology, engineering and math). Students can come learn about the programs, classes offered and student life of TJ on Wednesday, September 13th at 2:20pm in the Liberty Library. There will be detailed information about Admissions and Applications for 8th grade students. There are no late buses on this day, so students will need to be picked up by their parents at 3:20pm.
Parent Volunteers for Finance Park
Eighth grade students at Liberty Middle School will be attending Finance Park Monday, September 18th through Thursday, September 21st. Liberty MS Robotics Interest Meeting
Wednesday, September 6th at 6:30 PM in the Liberty MS Library
If your student is interested in learning about robotics and technology, and possibly competing as a middle school team, please stop by to hear how your student can be part of a new joint program between the Liberty Middle After-School Program, and CVHS Robotics. Future meetings will be held in the Robotics Lab at Centreville HS. This interest meeting is for both parents and students.
