FCHS Freshmen and New Student Orientation
When: Thursday, August 24th, 2017, 11:30am-2:40pm
All FCHS Freshmen and New Students are invited to the 2017-2018 Orientation at Falls Church High School on Thursday, August 24th. Transportation will be provided to and from the Orientation. School bus pick -up locations will be mailed home to all registered freshmen and new students. The orientation will begin at 11:30am and will end at 2:40pm. Students will pick up class schedules, meet teachers/counselors/administrators, find out about FCHS and how to get off to a great start, visit with old friends/meet new ones and pick up a free Jaguar t-shirt. FCHS Jaguar Kick Off
When: Thursday, August 24th , 2017, 5:00-6:30pm.
The Annual FCHS Jaguar Kick Off /Open House will take place on Thursday, August 24th from 5-6:30pm in the cafeteria. All FCHS students and parents are invited to come to this fun–filled event where students can meet club sponsors and athletic coaches, purchase PE uniforms, join the PTSA and Booster Clubs, purchase parking decals, socialize with friends and teachers, etc. The Athletic Boosters will be sponsoring a Cook Out from 5:30-6:30pm on the outdoor basketball courts where hot dogs/hamburgers, snacks, and drinks will be sold. Starting at 7:00pm, the defending Conference 13 Champion FCHS Varsity Football team has their first game of the season against Roosevelt High School (Washington DC). Admission to the game is $5.00. 2017-2018 School Year Calendar
The Fairfax County School Board has approved the 2017-18 calendar for Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS) which sets the first day of school as Monday, August 28, 2017, and the last day as Friday, June 15, 2018. The approved calendar includes a two-week winter break (December 18, 2017 to January 1, 2018) and a one-week spring break (March 26-30, 2018).

Keep Your Emergency Contact and Health Information Up-to-Date by Using weCare@school
Fairfax County Public Schools is committed to ensuring that the climate in all FCPS facilities is safe and secure. In support of this goal, FCPS provides weCare@school (weCare), an emergency care information system, available to FCPS parents and guardians who have registered for their own Parent account. weCare@school helps manage emergency medical information by enabling parents to enter and update their children’s medical data at their convenience online. Please note that weCare@school is a part of FCPS 24-7 Learning : Parent View. In order to log into Parent View it is necessary to have an active SIS Parent Account. Once the SIS Parent Account is created the same log in credentials will also work for FCPS 24-7 Learning : Parent View.
