Today, Thursday, April 27, Chantilly High School is hosting it's annual Chantilly Pyramid Art Show from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Open to the community and free, this exhibition features the inspired and unique work from elementary, middle and high schools all around the Chantilly area.

Author Visit

GBE was selected and involved in an exciting opportunity on Tuesday!  Author Eric Litwin (author of the Pete the Cat Books) was at GBE to make a video to promote his upcoming book Groovy Joe Dance Party Countdown.  Scholastic Books staged and produced the video; that will be viewed nationwide in the Fall to promote the book and Scholastic’s Fall Book Fairs.

Twenty-five students in grades K -2 were invited to participate in this production and they did a wonderful job!

Learning Walk 3

FCPSOn Learning Walks

We were excited for all of our teaching teams to participate in this week’s Learning Walks to support our FCPSOn initiative and to continue the journey with Professional Development opportunities.

Each teacher spent two hours during the week visiting colleagues' classrooms to see how technology is being integrated into instruction and how the work impacts student learning.  We were very excited to provide teachers time to learn from one another and to reflect about their own innovative teaching strategies.   We are so proud of our GBE staff members!

Visitors entering an FCPS school must register at the VMS with a valid driver’s license, valid DMV identification card, military ID, or passport for registration and subsequent check-ins. This applies to all parents, visitors, and volunteers.

For the safety of your student(s) as well as the staff, you will not be permitted in the building unless you have valid identification, and have registered at the VMS station.
