Security Camera Campaign Launch

The PTSA needs your immediate attention to help address security risks at our school. Officer Davis, along with Buddy Sekely and his team of security professionals,do a magnificent job keeping our students safe, but outdated technology impedes their ability. McLean High School’s security cameras are at least 20 years old, so they are being replaced with high-tech, state of the art cameras positioned around the perimeter of the school and other campus locations. But these cameras need proper computer data storage support to be efficient.  Therefore, the PTSA is launching a Security Camera Campaign to raise $20,000 for this important upgrade.  It is imperative that we raise the level of security not only during the school day, but also in the evenings. Principal Reilly will address our security issues and the need for this new technology at the PTSA meeting this Thursday, March 9th at 7 pm in the MHS Lecture Hall.

Tickets must be purchased in advance of the party, so parents please take the opportunity to purchase your senior a ticket now before things become too hectic. And perhaps you are wondering how you as a senior parent can support this celebration? We welcome your help in the following ways:

Donate – Your monetary donations supplement ticket income to pay for the entertainment, food, decorations, and prizes.  Monetary donations can be made on the ticket form or online with a credit card

Have a business or know a business that might donate funds or merchandise?  Parents can personally donate gift cards to businesses seniors enjoy. To donate or for questions contact Cam Donelson at donelsoncambra@yahoo.com.

Volunteer - We need about 200 volunteers to set-up, work during, and after the party.  Don’t think you can stay up all night?  You don’t have to.  There are several shifts to accommodate your schedule and it really is a lot of fun.  Email Frances Wilson, fqwilson@verizon.net to be sent the e-mail sign-up when it is time to select jobs and shifts.
