March Energy Train - Manage Media: Unplug & Uncharge

Did you know the average child spends more than 7 hours a day looking at a screen? Excessive screen time has been linked to irregular sleep, childhood obesity and issues with behavior and attention—all of which can impact a student’s performance at school. March’s Health Promotion message is:

“Get On the Energy Train: Unplug to Recharge = A Healthier You!”

Student Attendance

Please report a child’s absence by calling the attendance line at 703-814-8787 or by emailing BrookfieldESAttendance@fcps.edu in order to excuse an absence.

Absences of 4 days or more require a Pre-Arranged Absence form. Parents should provide a signed and dated note listing the student’s first and last names, dates of absence and reason for the absence. The student should bring the note to the office at least one week prior to the planned absence.  Approval for prearranged absences allows students enough time to complete the missed assignments while they are away and the opportunity to keep pace with the class. All school work assigned by a teacher for approved prearranged absences will be due upon the student’s return.
