New Traffic Pattern
 Since the 2012 school year,
the Fairfax County Police Department has recorded 41 vehicle crashes on Sutton Road, along the school boundary extending to Blake Lane. Most recently, an
increasing number of these accidents is occurring at the campus exit onto
Sutton Road at Blake Lane. Drivers attempting to make a left turn onto
northbound Sutton Road at this location, particularly at dismissal times, must
contend with both an increased volume and flow of traffic and a limited line of
sight for observation of oncoming traffic. In order to reduce the number of
crashes at this exit, effective February 7, 2017, right turns only will be
permitted. Posted signage and orange Traffic Safety barrels will be installed
to prohibit left turns. Drivers seeking to proceed north on Sutton Road will
need to travel around the rear of the school and exit at the 4-way stop
intersection.
