families and are reenergized for the New Year. As I complete my first year as your School Board
member, I want to thank you for working with me to improve Fairfax County
Public Schools. Your suggestions and
feedback helped me to be your voice in our Board discussions and to represent
our parents and taxpayers effectively.

Many of you have met me during my office hours and I plan to continue those
through the school year. I will schedule
them throughout the county for convenience to all constituents. My office hours are open on a walk-in basis. No appointment required.

Superintendent Search
2017 will be a year of change for FCPS as the School Board hires a new superintendent. The Board would
like your input as we make this important decision. Multiple opportunities are
available for you to participate.
Ten community forums
have been scheduled in January for you to share your ideas and feedback on the
characteristics you would like to see in our new Superintendent. I hope you will attend one or more of the
meetings listed below.
In addition to these forums, an ONLINE SURVEY will be available January 9 –January 23, for you to submit your opinions electronically.
