Are you
looking to open up the world to your child? Fairfax County International
Study Travel Program offers a range of educational trips to exciting
destinations during Spring Break and Summer. Programs are themed (Community
Service, Language, History, Environmental Studies) and all itineraries align to the FCPS Program of Studies so that students
can apply what they learn in the classroom.

1. Global Volunteers to
Ecuador over Spring Break – A 9-day service based program headed to Ecuador

Gain insight into the challenges locals face throughout
Ecuador as you work side by side building sustainable solutions—empowering
communities for generations to come.
Program highlights include visiting Yunguilla – a community
in the Andean cloud forest focused on conservation, the Amazon basin, a 3.5 day
service project and the Pastaza river canyon.
2. Global Investigators to
China this Summer – A 12-day itinerary tracing the history and culture of
Beijing, Xi’an and Shanghai

Explore the history of China from ancient to modern as you
experience the tastes, culture, and landscapes that shape this country – an
increasingly powerful player in today’s globalized world.
Program highlights include the Forbidden City, a tea

metropolis of Shanghai.
