Dear Westbriar Families,
I want to thank the Westbriar community for welcoming me as your interim principal during this transition from Ms. Pilson to your new principal. Westbriar has a great staff who care deeply about your children and who have great professional and knowledge and skills. As I visit classrooms, I have been excited to see students actively engaged in learning. Students are communicating and collaborating in classroom learning activities. I have seen lessons that demand our students to employ creative and critical thinking, It is a good place for children to grow and learn!
Safety FIRST!!!!
- Please use either Kiss and Ride or park in the neighborhood and walk to school at arrival and dismissal.
- Do NOT drop off students in the street or at the Westbriar main entrance on Pine Valley.
- Please make sure all children are using seat belts as you drop them off at Kiss and Ride. We know this takes an extra few seconds but we want to make sure that the children are buckled in as they arrive and leave each day.
As the first quarter ends today and many of you have parent-teacher conferences there is a great opportunity to have a conversation with your child about academics and work habits. I know you will find it meaningful and helpful. Don’t forget to get out to vote on Tuesday.
