Virginia Breeze Makes Spring Travel More Affordable with $17 Capital Connector Fares
RICHMOND, VA – Affordable spring travel is here. Virginia Breeze is offering $17 one‑way fares on its Capital Connector route between Richmond and Washington, D.C.’s Union Station as part of the Capital Connector Spring Sale, running March 16 through April 30.
This limited‑time promotion provides a budget‑friendly option for spring break travel, weekend getaways, and work or play to and from Washington, D.C.
“Affordable travel matters. Our $17 spring fares give Virginians a reliable, budget‑friendly alternative to navigating I‑95 traffic at a time when increasing gas prices are impacting many people’s pocket books. The Capital Connector makes it easier for riders to get where they need to go without the stress, cost, or delays of driving,” said DRPT Director Mariia Zimmerman.
The Capital Connector route offers direct service between downtown Richmond and Washington’s Union Station. From Union Station, passengers can easily connect to destinations along the Northeast Corridor, including Baltimore, Philadelphia, New York, and Boston by bus or rail travel; or catch the Metro or local bus to travel within the Washington DC region.
Virginia Breeze motorcoaches feature free Wi‑Fi, spacious seating, and modern amenities, offering a comfortable and convenient travel experience; and all buses are ADA compliant.
The Virginia Breeze operates four routes throughout Virginia and provided nearly 70,000 trips in 2025. Its fifth route and first east-west service, the Tidewater Current, will start in April 2026.
Tickets are available at virginiabreeze.org.
