Practical Assessment in Your Classroom
Designed for middle and high school teachers, William and Mary is hosting an interactive half-day workshop on January 30 to explore the ins and outs of practical classroom assessment. The focus is on engaging in meaningful day-to-day formative assessment. Grammar Innovation Conference
The National Council of Teachers of English Assembly for the Teaching of English Grammar is hosting its 2023 Conference on July 14. The conference theme is Grammar Innovation. Multilingual Learners 101 Workshop-January 30
SURN is calling all middle and high school general and special education teachers to join them for this half-day interactive workshop in Norfolk. Participants will explore how English Learners acquire social and academic language and literacy, and participants will learn how to build background knowledge, identify and teach academic language, and provide language and reading practice across the content areas. "Would You Lead?” Hybrid Master’s Degree Focused on Educational Leadership
Longwood University’s Master of Science in Education with an Educational Leadership Concentration is a five-semester hybrid model designed for working professionals. Blending real-world applicability with real-time flexibility, the program meets five Saturdays per semester on-campus; the remainder of learning occurs asynchronously online! Endorsement in SPED-General Curriculum
Are you interested in adding an endorsement in Special Education-General Curriculum? The University of Virginia School of Education and Human Development is excited to present their online Special Education General Curriculum Graduate Certificate. This Certificate is designed to equip K-12 teachers with the knowledge and skills to address the needs of students with disabilities in the general curriculum classroom. In addition, it meets the requirements to add-on the VDOE Special Education General Curriculum endorsement in grades K-6, 6-8 and Secondary. Master of Science in Counselor Education
Learn from dedicated, doctoral-level instructors at Longwood University who bring a wide range of counseling experience to their students. Choose from a track in Mental Health Counseling or School Counseling with an opportunity to gain your LPC. The School Counseling track fulfills the VDOE licensure regulations for school counselors. This is a 60-credit in-person program that can be completed full-time or part-time and includes hybrid, weekend and evening courses. With a focus on social justice and multicultural perspectives, participants have practical experiences to help excel in any counseling setting.
