Bath County considering options to fill gap in child care shortage
In December 2021, Bath County leaders conducted a survey, which was received with an overwhelming response that showed a great need, particularly for infants to three-year olds and after-school care. The lack of available child care in the locality is impacting many local employers and local enrollment in public schools is declining. A proposal was discussed during the July Board of Supervisors meeting.Â
