Songwriting Workshop with Kid Pan Alley-November 12 During this professional development session participants will work collaboratively to write a chorus and verse for song. The experience will be expanded and reinforced through a discussion of the creative process and the techniques that can be used in the classroom regardless of subject matter. Resources from the VCU STEM Project Now Available New instructional resources created by teachers under the guidance of the VCU STEM Project are now available on #GoOpenVA in the VCU STEM Collection. These resources for grades 5-12, focus on developing STEM skills along with high-interest content. Teachers can use these lessons "as is" or can adapt them to their own students' needs. All content on #GoOpenVA can be edited without requesting permission of the copyright owner.

Climate Action Project The project allows teachers to connect and interact with other teachers from every continent. This project is a collaboration with WWF and NASA. Teachers are sent materials and guided by facilitators through the content. Students will be the ones solving problems, sharing their findings and taking action. At the end of the project there will be live interactions and webinars with experts.

Fulbright-Hays Applications for 2021 Seminars Abroad U.S. Department of Education is now accepting applicant for its Fulbright-Hays Program for summer 2021.
