The VDOE Considerations for COVID Recovery Services for Students with Disabilities is a guidance document that highlights information related to compliance, documentation, and progress monitoring. It includes IEP Team considerations that are necessary to make decisions about and address requests for COVID recovery services for students with disabilities.

Some schools are continuing use of alternative service delivery procedures, such as remote or hybrid instruction, while others plan to provide in-person services.
This recorded ASHA SIG 16 Zoom event addressed frequently asked questions regarding IEP documentation, online platforms for teletherapy, FERPA considerations surrounding group therapy, personal protective equipment, and the difference between compensatory and recovery services. Documentation and Service Delivery for the 2020-2021 School Year: Considerations for the School-Based SLP is available on demand.
