2020 Chesapeake Bay Educational Institute-July 7-10 This free Institute, Enhancing Climate Literacy Though Place-Based Inquiry, offers educators the content, tools, and strategies required to help students be global citizens and develop an Explorer’s Mindset. VATE Literacy Explosion- Virtual Language Arts Festival Virginia Association of Teachers of English is hosting a virtual language arts festival designed to promote the integration of literacy and 21st century learning skills. This event showcases student work in reading, writing, speaking, presenting, filming, drawing, and acting.. All Virginia students in grades K-12 are invited to participate in this opportunity to share their language arts talents and abilities. Registration closes March 1.
2020 Granville P. Meade Scholarship Granville P. Meade Scholarship provides financial assistance to students who have achieved academically, but who are financially unable to attend college. The Fund awards scholarships to eligible Virginia high school seniors to attend one of Virginia's public or private colleges or universities.
