Nominations for VBOE Innovative Practice Recognition Award The Virginia Board of Education seeks to recognize schools, school divisions, and local school boards for implementing effective, innovative practices that are aligned with the Commonwealth's goals for public education. The Presidential Awards for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching PAEMST Program is accepting nominations for teachers of science, technology, engineering, mathematics, and/or computer science at the K-6 grade level in a public, charter, or private school. The PAEMST are the highest honors bestowed by the U.S. government specifically for K-12 STEM teaching. Nominate a praiseworthy teacher today!

VMFA Teacher Workshops The Virginia Museum of Fine Arts offers a variety of teacher workshops. All workshops are aligned with SOL and model strategies for incorporating works of art into K-12 curricula. Participants receive resource packets with background information, lesson concepts, access to images and more! Pre-registration is required.
African American Heritage High School Scholastic Bowl-March 14 African American Heritage 365 invites high schools from across the Commonwealth to participate in this Scholastic Bowl. This competition tests student knowledge and appreciation of history as well as the contributions of African Americans past and present.
