As of August 20, 2025, the CPRG team has collected 747 responses from 103 localities. This survey will remain open until August 29th, 2025, and is available in English, Español (Spanish), 한국인 (Korean), tiếng việt (Vietnamese), or 中国⼈ (Chinese). |
The form takes approximately 10-15 minutes to complete and is the best way for community members to share detailed feedback on the measures and strategies informing the CCAP. The DEQ CPRG Team would like to thank everyone who has submitted a response to the community survey. |

Food Rescue and Composting Program
The CPRG Food Rescue and Composting team has hosted three of four virtual meetings to share resources and project ideas to potential sub awardees of the food rescue program. These meetings highlight innovative composting programs implemented across educational institutions and other organizations. The final information session will be dedicated to reviewing the application process and program timelines.
The Subaward Program Virtual Information Session will be held September 9 from 11:00AM-12:00PM. Click here to access the registration form. For more information, please reach out to Sydney Thayer at sydney.e.thayer@deq.virginia.gov.
Coal Mine Methane (CMM) Request for Information (RFI)
Through the RFI process, Virginia Energy collected information on methane reduction technologies, workforce development, and more to support the development of Virginia's Coal Mine Methane (CMM) Capture & Utilization Program. 12 responses were received from gas and coal operators, technology and service providers, as well as state universities.
These responses will be reviewed by DEQ and Virginia Energy to inform an upcoming Request for Proposals (RFP), informing project selection.
