Military Personnel fed on Thanksgiving through DBVI Program
The Department for the Blind and Vision Impaired (DBVI) oversees the Randolph-Sheppard Program of Virginia through the Virginia Enterprises for the Blind (VEB). The Randolph-Sheppard program allows individuals who are legally blind to operate businesses, such as vending or cafeteria services within federally owned facilities. This past Thanksgiving, one of the VEB program participants, Jimmy Cunningham, fed a Thanksgiving dinner to over 7,000 soldiers at Fort-Gregg Adams. CBS 6 was there to capture footage and tell their story. Find out more.
