 Board Members were delighted to attend the ribbon cutting at The River. With expanding infrastructure and continued investment, communities like The River will help ensure the workforce, families and young professionals have quality housing options and a place they are proud to call home.
"Behind the Mic"
 On the most recent episode of Chesterfield Behind the Mic, Supervisor Jessica Schneider joined host Brad Franklin to discuss various updates regarding the Clover Hill District, along with countywide topics such as enhancing support and resources for survivors of domestic violence.
Outstanding Women Awards
 Ms. Schneider attended the 2026 YWCA Richmond’s Outstanding Women Awards. YWCA Richmond recognized eight extraordinary women for their significant contributions to the Greater Richmond area.
Pocahontas Project
 Ms. Schneider attended the annual Richmond Natal Day Commemoration hosted by the Pocahontas Project.
Cogbill Park Ribbon Cutting
 Dr. Hylton joined community members for a ceremonial ribbon cutting at Cogbill Park. The park boasts an inclusive playground, basketball and pickleball courts, as well as a picturesque walking trail.
Panda Express Ribbon Cutting
 Dr. Hylton celebrated the grand opening of Panda Express at Courthouse Landing. For residents, visitors, and employees of the county and nearby businesses, this will be a convenient and welcoming option to eat and gather.
LPC Graduation
 Mr. Carroll had the pleasure of celebrating the Learning and Performance Center's Class of 2026. This internal hub for professional development offers tailored workforce education, training, and consulting, aimed at fostering both individual and organizational success for county employees.
VSU Athletic Club Ribbon Cutting
 Mr. Carroll had the pleasure of attending the historic groundbreaking ceremony for The VSU Athletic Club's new facility. Following a successful capital campaign, construction efforts and updates are now underway.
J.B. Watkins Playground
 The playground equipment at J.B. Watkins has been updated. The old playground equipment, which had exceeded its lifespan, was in need of replacement. Thanks to the dedicated fundraising efforts, the PTA successfully achieved its goals for this project. The outcome is a fully inclusive playground designed to accommodate children with special needs
Memorial Day Program
 Dr. Hylton and Dr. Miller were privileged to speak at the annual Memorial Day program held at the Chesterfield County Fairgrounds, a heartfelt event dedicated to honoring military personnel who lost their lives in service to our country.
Bryant & Stratton Ribbon Cutting
 Dr. Miller attended the ribbon cutting ceremony for the Richmond–Chesterfield campus at Bryant & Stratton College.
 Arts in Action at Rockwood Park
During the inaugural Create Chesterfield: Arts in Action event, Board Members unveiled a public art mural at Rockwood Park. Attendees enjoyed a vibrant atmosphere filled with live music, art demonstrations, and interactive activity booths for children.
 Community Champions
Dr. Miller and Ms. Schneider celebrated individuals and groups at the annual Chesterfield Volunteer Recognition Celebration, where they presented them with the 2026 Chesterfield Community Champion Awards.
 Older Americans Month
To honor and celebrate the contributions of older adults in the Central Virginia region, Dr. Hylton and Ms. Schneider attended an Older Americans Month Luncheon at Beulah Recreation Center.
