 Board Members celebrated the reopening of seven newly renovated baseball and softball fields at Rockwood Park with a ceremonial ribbon cutting.
Sports Hall of Fame
 Chesterfield Sports Hall of Fame ceremony hosted by the Sports, Visitation, and Entertainment team celebrated a powerful blend of athletic excellence, community impact, and inspiration, highlighted by the induction of LaRee Sugg, Morgan Moses, Will Bates and the late Stan Morgan.
Habitat for Humanity
 The property at 8801 Rams Circle was acquired by the County following a long and thoughtful initiative aimed at supporting the owner-occupants with their unique health and living challenges, as well as addressing the home’s deferred maintenance.
Chesterfield's Got Talent Showcase
 Chesterfield Parks and Recreation brought the excitement of the golden buzzer to Meadowbrook High School.
Approximately 180 students from Chesterfield County Public Schools took part in the inaugural Chesterfield’s Got Talent event. Participants, spanning from kindergarten to 12th grade, displayed their talents both on and off the stage.
Mommy and Me Sneaker Ball
 Dr. Miller and Dr. Hylton attended the Chesterfield County NAACP Branch WIN Committee's Mommy and Me Sneaker Ball. The occasion celebrated the powerful bond between mothers, daughters, sons and caregivers, creating unforgettable moments that young ones will cherish for a lifetime.

Academy Alumni Conversation
 Mr. Carroll joined alumni from Chesterfield's signature programs, including the Government Citizens Academy, My Chesterfield Academy, the Police Academy, and more, who came together for an evening filled with connection, conversation and community.
VCU's Heart Heroes "Teach BP" Program
 Board members participated in VCU's Heart Heros "Teach BP" Program at Ettrick Elementary School. This initiative is designed to educate students on recognizing high blood pressure and understanding how it can negatively affect vital organs, including their hearts.
Animal Shelter Topping Off
 Chesterfield proudly marked a major achievement with the topping off of the new Animal Services shelter, symbolizing the placement of the final beam on a facility crafted to enhance the care for pets and their devoted owners.
Scheduled to open this fall, this new space signifies a transition towards more compassionate and modern care for our community's beloved four-legged family members.

 Board members recently attended the 2026 VALHSO Legislative Conference.
This year's event held particular significance. With fresh leadership in the governor’s office, we had an exceptional opportunity to engage, listen, and learn. Grasping the governor’s priorities and goals is crucial for aligning our efforts and ensuring that the voices of local communities are recognized and integrated into policy.
