Budget Town Hall Meetings
 Residents are invited to attend any of the upcoming budget town halls focused on the proposed FY2027 budget. The meetings, which will be spread among the county's magisterial districts, will all be held from 6:30 until 8 p.m. Additionally, a virtual option will be available on March 19 via the county’s Facebook page.
LaPrade Library Reopening
 Board members attended the ribbon cutting of the new and improved LaPrade Library. The renovation reflects the Board’s commitment to investing in the people of Chesterfield. The upgraded library includes expanded meeting and collaborative spaces, a relocated building entrance, upgraded technology, new furnishing, enhanced natural lighting, a makerspace, a reading porch, and an outdoor activity space.
Snowball Festival
 Mr. Ingle and Ms. Schneider attended the third annual Snowball Festival hosted by the county's Parks and Recreation Department at River City Sportsplex. The festival included fun activities, music, food vendors, a synthetic ice rink, winter-themed inflatables and African penguins.
PTA Day at the Capitol
 Dr. Hylton joined PTA members and their children at the state capitol, where they engaged with legislators, observed debates on bills, and expressed their views on how policies and funding decisions affect students and the school community.
The Financial Hour with Nate Banks
 Dr. Hylton joined Nathaniel Banks on his podcast "The Financial Hour with Nate Banks" to discuss the role of supervisor in public service and projects in the Dale District.
Jack and Jill Public Safety Day
 Board members joined several dozen families who are part of the Jack and Jill's Midlothian Chapter to learn all about Chesterfield's public safety agencies.
Marlbank Farms Town Hall
 Mr. Carroll held a town hall meeting to discuss the pending Marlbank Farms residential rezoning case and allow residents an additional opportunity to offer feedback.
Civilian Military Council Meeting
 Chesterfield hosted the Fort Lee Civilian Military Council's quarterly luncheon. The CMC luncheon provides an important opportunity for local government leaders to connect directly with military leadership and exchange updates and insights.
“Behind the Mic”
 Dr. Miller joined Brad Franklin to discuss his first tenure as Chair and provide a number of updates on projects in the Midlothian District and the county overall.
Teddy Bear Sunday
 Dr. Miller joined Unity Church of Bon Air at its 25th Annual Teddy Bear Sunday. The teddy bears are donated to Chesterfield Police each year and provide comfort and a sense of security during some of life’s most uncertain and traumatic moments to children. It was an incredible example of public safety as a shared community effort.
Proctor’s Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant
 County officials gathered for a groundbreaking ceremony at the Proctors Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant, where Chesterfield is planning to build a 12-million-gallon flow-equalization basin.
Black History Month Business Breakfast
 Virginia State University and Chesterfield County celebrated Black History Month at the annual business breakfast and scholarship recognition. Six students were awarded $2,500 scholarships, with one winner selected from each of the county’s five magisterial districts and the sixth chosen from a regional governor schools.
First Baptist Church Centralia
 Dr. Hylton attended the 2026 Black History Month Program at First Baptist Church Centralia.
Black History Month Market
 The third annual Black History Month Market at Beulah Recreation Center was full of amazing vendors, live music, activities and community fellowship.
Visit with the Monks
 Board members welcomed a group of Buddhist monks as they made their way through Chesterfield. The 2,300-mile Walk for Peace, which began in Texas in October and ended in D.C., aimed to promote peace, compassion and nonviolence.
