Board of Supervisors Hosting Community Input Sessions About County Administrator Hiring Process
Members of the Chesterfield County Board of Supervisors will host a series of community meetings later this month to receive input from residents regarding the hiring of a new county administrator. Dr. Joe Casey, who has served as Chesterfield’s top executive since 2016, announced late last year that he intends to retire effective July 1, 2026.
The upcoming community meetings will be spread among the county’s five magisterial districts as the board looks to gather input in the process. The scheduled meeting locations, dates, and times are:
- Matoaca District — Tuesday, Feb. 17 at 4 p.m. at the Ettrick Matoaca Library (4501 River Road)
- Bermuda District — Tuesday, Feb. 17 at 6 p.m. at the Perkinson Center for Arts and Education (11810 Centre Street)
- Facebook Live — Wednesday, Feb. 18 at 5 p.m. (@ChesterfieldVA)
- Midlothian District — Wednesday, Feb. 18 at 7 p.m. at Midlothian Library (100 Millworks Crossing)
- Clover Hill District — Monday, Feb. 23 at 4 p.m. at LaPrade Library (9000 Hull Street Road)
- Dale District — Monday, Feb. 23 at 6 p.m. at Central Library (7051 Lucy Corr Blvd)
- Matoaca District — Thursday, Feb. 26 at 4 p.m. at the Clover Hill Library (6701 Deer Run Drive)
- Midlothian District — Thursday, Feb. 26 at 6 p.m. at Stonebridge Recreation Center (230 Karl Linn Drive)
If you are unable to attend a meeting, an online survey will be posted to chesterfield.gov for two weeks beginning Monday, Feb. 16 to allow public comment. The online survey will cover the same topics as those that will be addressed during the community input sessions.
