Transportation Tackling fourth Otterdale Road Crossing – This Time at Swift Creek
The Chesterfield Transportation Department held a virtual community meeting Monday to share information and answer citizens’ questions about planned drainage improvements to the Otterdale Road crossing at Swift Creek, just north of Genito Road.
The $47 million project is being funded with part of the proceeds from the county’s $300 million transportation bond sale in June 2024.
It includes construction of a 1/3-mile, multispan bridge, raising part of the two-lane roadway by 10 to 15 feet, additional drainage infrastructure enhancements and a sidewalk along the west side of the project area.
