Bright Future: School, Community Revitalization Continue with Opening of New A.M. Davis Elementary
When it comes to prioritizing public education, Chesterfield walks the walk.
In every corner of the county, covering a total of 437 square miles, there’s a school building that stands as a testament to the shared commitment of providing first-class learning spaces for students.
Over the past seven years, Chesterfield has replaced seven aging elementary schools – Beulah, Crestwood, Enon, Ettrick, Harrowgate, Matoaca and Reams Road – with modern facilities designed for 21st-century education, while also helping to revitalize their surrounding neighborhoods through renewed interest and investment.
On Wednesday, July 30, community members joined county and school leaders at a ceremonial ribbon-cutting that marks the completion of the first project from the 2022 bond referendum: a two-story replacement for A.M. Davis Elementary School.
