Come out to the Government Center, here in Verona, each Wednesday to have lunch on the Veranda or at one of the picnic tables! Each week will feature a choice of three food trucks, plus the Verona Farmers Market by Project Grows!

 Catch the next Hall of Fame Jousting Tournament at Natural Chimneys; Saturday August 20 at 11am. These events feature a parade of riders to start the day, four or more classes of competition based on skill level the day ends with a coronation ceremony where the winners are honored for their achievement.
 Don't miss the breath-taking experience of the Stonewall Brigade Band playing in front of the Chimneys! This event is free to the public! Bring out your lawn chairs, relax, and enjoy the music! Saturday September 17 at 3pm.
Starting August 15, pools will only be open on the weekends, with the exception of Labor Day (September 5) the last day to swim before pools close for the season on Tuesday, September 6!

The Glass Palette Ages 50+
Come join us as we journey to the Glass Palette for an art-inspired afternoon. All experience levels welcomed on this trip, whether you have worked with glass before or are new to the art. The Glass Palette is a fun and friendly environment where adventurous individuals are invited to explore the limitless possibilities of creating with glass! Fee includes transportation, materials and instruction on how to make a suncatcher. Register by July 28.

Edinburg Mill Ages 50+
You will not believe the treasure trove of collections at The Edinburg Mill, which recreates the Shenandoah Valley’s history with exhibits of memorabilia, antiques, old equipment, the Civil War and much more, showing life as it was along the Valley Pike. This is one of the few mills to escape the burning of the Valley during the Civil War. Participants will enjoy time on their own to explore the collections and then have lunch at the Edinburg Mill Restaurant. Fee includes transportation and admission. Register by September 14.

Carter Mountain Orchard Ages 50+
Come grab some fresh air and enjoy a spectacular view on top of Carter Mountain. Your visit to Carter Mountain Orchard would not be complete without enjoying apple cider and an apple cider donut. If you haven’t had enough apples after all that, we’ll take a tractor-drawn hayride through the award-winning orchard and get a ¼-peck bag to pick your own apples. After the hayride, enjoy free time on your own to pick apples and eat lunch at the food truck on site. Fee includes hayride, apple picking and transportation. Register by September 14.

Neptune Festival All Ages
Every year hundreds of thousands of people celebrate at the festival's many offerings. Daily concerts at festival stages are scattered along 30 blocks of the boardwalk and feature 20+ performances from local, regional and national recording artists. On the boardwalk you can find over 200 artisans displaying handmade work, at an Art & Craft Show that has been ranked #5 out of 200 Fine Art and Design Shows across the country. Keep walking to find 18 magnificent sand sculptures created by world-renowned international sculptors at Neptune's International Sandsculpting Championship. Fee includes transportation. Register by September 15.

Sporting Clays Learn-to-Shoot Ages 8+
Never shot clay targets and want to try? Come out to The Flying Rabbit Sporting Clays in Mount Crawford to learn the basics of sporting clay shooting! Participants will learn the basic fundamentals of clay target shooting including safe firearm handling, proper stance and gun mount. Cost includes instruction, gun rental, ammunition and clays. Please dress for the weather (wear layers if possible); class will go on during light rain, but will be cancelled for heavy rain or lightening. All equipment and safety gear will be provided. Any participant under age 18 must have a parent present at all times. Instructor is Danny Harding or Tracy Harding. Register at least one week before start of class.

 Kids' Test Kitchen Ages 5-15
Kids’ Test Kitchen is on a mission to get young eaters cooking, tasting and thinking about healthy ingredients! Each class presents participants with an opportunity to explore new or familiar foods in the raw, un-manipulated state. Then, with adult supervision and occasional assistance, we will work together virtually to slice, dice, peel, measure and cook until we have each prepared the finished dish. The virtual experience gives students the unique opportunity to gain comfort and independence within their own kitchen and then immediately share their work with family! Parents love having the night off from planning and preparation and agree that coming together as a family to enjoy the product of their kid’s labor is priceless. A team of Registered Dietitians plans the menus that have previous included: Nourishing Nachos, Comfort Stew, Creamy Tomato Tortellini Soup, Homemade Ricotta and stuffed shells, Potato Gnocchi, Crepes and so much more! Fee includes instruction only. Prior to the first night of class, guardians will be emailed an ingredient list and instructions on how to log in for class. Instructor is Kids’ Test Kitchen facilitators. Register at least one week before start of class.

Buti Yoga Introduction for Youth Ages 12-17
Are you interested in learning more about Buti Yoga, but aren’t sure if it’s right for you? This one-day session will provide an overview of how this unique movement creates self-love, acceptance, comradery and a sample of what is to come in the upcoming six-week session. Participants are not required to take this class prior to enrolling in Buti Yoga for Youth. Come prepared to release stored tension, sweat, let go of control and breathe! The instructor is Jessica Weinstock, Buti Master Trainee and Certified Fitness Nutritionist. Register at least one week before start of class.

Baton Twirling Ages 5-12
This class offers participants the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of baton twirling and will cover basic techniques, novelty tricks and choreography. Participants will learn to twirl recreationally in a safe and inclusive environment, while developing lifelong skills. The sport of baton twirling is a fun and unique art for children of all ages and a great way to teach poise, hand-eye coordination, technique, marching, parades and more. This class will help build self-esteem, encourage teamwork, stay-fit physical fitness, teach sportsmanship, dedication, self-motivation and children will have fun! Instructor is Joey Warren. NRA Home Firearm Safety Ages 18+
This is a five-hour course for safe gun handling that is conducted in the classroom only. Students are taught NRA’s three rules for safe gun handling, primary causes of firearms accidents, firearm parts, how to load and unload certain action types, ammunition components, cleaning, care, safe storage of firearms and ammunition and the benefits of becoming an active participant in the shooting sports. Students will receive a course completion certificate. Safety comes before all else. This class will meet requirements for the Virginia Concealed Carry Permit. Instructor also has extensive knowledge of the Criminal and Civil Liabilities pertaining to CCW Permit holders while carrying concealed and if you are forced to defend yourself with your firearm. Please do not bring guns to class. Instructor is Jim Wood, NRA Certified Instructor. Register at least one week before start of class.
