Picnic shelter reservations will open on Thursday, April 15 and can be scheduled for April 17 through October 31. Reservations can be made over the phone at 540-245-5727 or in person. Visit our website for additional details.
Swim Lessons, Swim Team and Pool Rentals
We are excited to announce that both the Stuarts Draft Pool and the Natural Chimneys Pool will open this summer! There will be changes to how the pools will operate this year. Swim team will not be offered this summer and while swim lessons may be offered, there will be restrictions due to COVID-19. Pool rentals will be made available but also with limitations and restrictions. Additional details will be forthcoming about all of our pool offerings over the next few months.
An Easter-themed Event being held on Saturday, 4/3
Come out to the Augusta County Government Center on Saturday, April 3 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. for a drive-thru event to celebrate Easter. First stop on the bunny trail is a photo opportunity with the Easter Bunny. Second stop on the bunny trail is a mini Easter egg hunt (while supplies last) for participants ages 10 and under. For the safety of everyone involved we request that all participants ages 5 and older wear a facial covering for the entirety of their time at the event. This event is done in partnership with the Verona Community Center.
Postponed to June 4, 2022
Sweet Dreams Day for 2021 has been postponed to June 4, 2022. With the uncertainty of when and how COVID-19 restrictions and limitations will be relaxed or lifted, planning for this event has been difficult if not impossible. We are looking forward to bringing Sweet Dreams Day back to the community in 2022.
Camping Reservations
The campground at the park is scheduled to open for the first night of camping on Saturday, May 1. The capacity of total campsites available will continue to be reduced to at least start the camping season. A date for when camping reservations will open is still yet to be announced. We are currently upgrading our reservation software and look forward to opening camping reservations sometime in April. We appreciate your patience through this process.
