Board Revises Timeline of Board Structure and Performance Project

At its June 17, 2026, Recessed Meeting, the Arlington County Board shared an update on its Board Structure and Performance (BSaP) project timeline. The County Attorney also shared a brief update on his office's legal research on this topic, which is now complete and will be shared next month (watch here). 

The Board now plans to select an external research partner in July and receive the partner’s initial report in October and a final report in November. The Board expects to share an update and potential next steps in December. All other tasks remain on schedule. Later in this meeting, the County Manager’s Office shared the findings from the Community Resident Satisfaction Survey (watch here) which will help inform this process.

The Board intends to share an interim update at its July 2026 Board meeting, including findings from the Arlington County Attorney’s legal research.
