Just Launched: Arlington Home Energy Hub

We are proud to announce a new resource to help Arlington residents make their homes more energy efficient, healthier and powered by clean energy. Arlington residents can begin exploring this online resource for guidance on home energy upgrades and sign up to receive virtual technical support from a Home Energy Coach. Arlington Bus Facility Wins Federal Award

The Arlington Transit (ART) Operations and Maintenance Facility (AOMF) has been named a 2026 Better Project Award Winner by the U.S. Department of Energy. The Better Project, Better Practice Awards recognize partners for innovative, industry-leading accomplishments in implementing energy efficiency, water efficiency and/or waste reduction measures. Help Shape Arlington’s Climate Future

Arlington is developing a Climate Action Plan, and we want your input to help shape our vision and priorities for a more sustainable, resilient future. We invite you to complete the Climate Action Plan Visioning and Framework Feedback Form to share your ideas, concerns and priorities for climate action in Arlington. Your feedback will help guide the goals, strategies and community priorities included in the plan which will be presented to the County Board for adoption. The feedback form will remain open through June 26, 2026.

Federal Tax Credits Expire June 30

If you install qualified electric vehicle charging equipment at your home, you may be eligible for the Alternative Fuel Vehicle Refueling Property Tax Credit. For consumers who purchase and install an electric vehicle charger for their principal residence, the tax credit equals 30% of the cost, up to a maximum credit of $1,000 per charging port. Meet with Your Home Energy Coach

The Home Energy Coach is a new resource that provides free, virtual technical support to help Arlington residents make energy upgrades. Home Energy Coaches are available to help with any type of energy upgrade, such as installing new heating and cooling equipment, improving insulation and adopting solar energy. Homeowners can meet with a Home Energy Coach individually and renters can join a group coaching session. To get started, Arlington residents can submit an interest form online and a Coach will follow up with more information. Submit your interest form today.

 

Switch Together and Solarize

Save Money with a Group Purchasing Program

Arlington residents have several options to get discounted heat pumps, solar panels and/or batteries through a group purchasing program. Learn more about Group Purchasing Programs.

  • Solar: Register with Solarize Virginia by July 15
  • Heat Pumps: Register with Switch Together now through July 15
  • Solar and Batteries: Register with Switch Together by August 19
EVADC

EV Guides for the DMV

EVADC (Electric Vehicle Association of Greater Washington, D.C.) provides resources and tools for shopping new or used EVs and PHEVs (Plug-in Hybrids). Each month, the organization hosts a virtual meeting opportunity for participants to "Ask An EV Owner" questions. Attend the next meeting.
