2025 MLK Tribute Canceled Due to Inclement Weather
Out of an abundance of caution and with the potential for hazardous conditions, we have made the difficult decision to cancel this year's MLK Tribute that was set to take place Sunday, January 19 from 5-6:30 p.m. at Wakefield High School.
Based on current estimates, we believe this is the best option to ensure performers and attendees avoid any impacts when getting to and from the venue safely.
Celebrating Dr. King's Lasting Impact
This weekend, we continue to celebrate Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s dream- a vision of unity, justice and a world where everyone is treated with dignity and respect.
As we developed this year's production, Dreams, Faith and Justice In Action, we had the privilege of interviewing inspiring community leaders of organizations that are carrying forward Dr. King's legacy right here in Arlington. While the weather has altered our plans, it has not diminished the importance of reflecting on Dr. King's enduring impact and the work that remains.
We invite you to watch clips that were originally planned for tonight's production and join us in honoring Dr. King's vision.
