ARLINGTON, Va. – The Arlington County Police Department’s Special Victims Unit has arrested and charged an Arlington Public Schools employee with a sexually-based offense and is seeking possible additional victims.
On November 8, police initiated a criminal investigation after receiving information that an Instructional Assistant assigned to Wakefield High School had solicited sex from a juvenile female student. As a result of the investigation, Darryl Ramsey Jr., 31, of Lanham, MD was arrested on November 15 and charged with Virginia Code § 18.2-370.1 Taking Indecent Liberties with a Child by a Person in a Supervisory or Custodial Relationship.
Additional information regarding the investigation is restricted from release in accordance with Virginia Code § 19.2-11.2.
This remains an active criminal investigation. Based on the preliminary investigation, detectives believe there could be additional victims.
