Festival Latinoamericano - Oct. 4!

New Date! Festival Latinoamericano has been rescheduled for Fri., Oct. 4, from 5-9 p.m. at Arlington Mill Community Center! Come out and enjoy delicious food, live music and dance, great local vendors, and a warm community atmosphere. Free. Learn more on our webpage.  


Northern Virginia Bird Club Walk 

Join the Northern Virginia Bird Club on Wed., Oct. 2, from 8:30 to 11 a.m. at Long Branch Nature Center for informal walks through Glencarlyn Park. Participants will search for resident and migratory birds. All birders, from beginners to experienced, are welcome. Please bring binoculars and field guides if you have them. Free. Red Cross Babysitting Class

Join us on Thu., Oct. 3, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Long Bridge Aquatics Center for a Red Cross Babysitting Class. This program is for youth ages 11 to 17 who want to learn safe and responsible babysitting techniques. Participants will gain essential skills for caring for children and infants, develop leadership abilities, and learn how to start their own babysitting business. Learn more and register here.


Parents Night Out

Parent's Night Out

Parent’s Night Out is back! Bring your kids ages 5-10 on Fri., Oct. 4 at Lubber Run Community Center and Fri., Oct. 18 at Walter Reed Community Center from 6-10 p.m. where they will enjoy art projects, healthy snacks, play field games and more! $35 per participant. Family Night at Carver

Family Night at Carver

This fun, free drop-in program for the whole family takes place on the first Friday of each month from 6-8 p.m., starting on Oct. 4. You and your family will enjoy inflatables, open game room and creative crafts. This program is open to all ages. Youth participants must be supervised by an adult. Inflatable lines close 10 minutes before event end time. Learn more here

Fall Heritage Festival

Save the date! Join us on Sun., Oct 6 from 1-5 p.m. at Gulf Branch Nature Center for a fun, family-friendly day celebrating our heritage. You can try out old-time games and crafts, make a corn husk doll, churn butter, dip candles, and press cider. Bring some old pants and a shirt to make a scarecrow—child sizes work best! Winter Youth Basketball Leagues

Get ready for a fun winter with Arlington's youth indoor basketball league for grades 1-8 and 9-12! Registration closes on Oct. 6 for grades 1-8 and on Nov. 17 for grades 9-12. Teams are coached by parent or community volunteers. Must be an Arlington resident or attend school in Arlington to participate. Learn more and sign up here

Teen Nights at Lubber Run  

The ultimate after-hours teen event continues this month at Lubber Run Community Center! Join us for nights of non-stop fun packed with music, games, and activities. Whether you're into video game tournaments, dancing to the hottest beats, or just hanging out with friends, there’s something for everyone!
