Home electrification: You can do it!

Wednesday, Sept. 11 | 7:00 pm

The Potomac River Group of the Virginia Sierra Club and EcoAction Arlington will present a Zoom program on home electrification. Mike Lowe, Arlington homeowner and Chairman of the Board of EcoAction Arlington, will describe how, over the past 15 years, he has made his home net-zero for most of the year through several electrification projects including the installation of a geothermal heat pump, solar panels, and an induction stove. Jenna Peabody, a member of the Arlington County Department of Environmental Services AIRE team, will discuss why electrification is important for helping the County meet its GHG reduction goals. She will also provide county resources to help homeowners find contractors who can complete this work, including work on heat pumps, and share more information on IRA incentives. There will also be time at the end for audience questions. Please join us for an informative program! Register here.
