Join artists Zaq Landsberg and Nekisha Durrett as they discuss the rewards and challenges of creating public art and the complex nature of monuments and memorials on Saturday, April 27, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. The free event will occur at MoCA Arlington’s Innovation Studio + Store, located at 525 14th Street, S., Arlington, VA 22202.

The two artists’ respective experiences working in Arlington will provide a foundation for the conversation. Zaq Landsberg’s popular Reclining Liberty is on view at MoCA Arlington through July of 2024, and Nekisha Durrett’s acclaimed Queen City was unveiled in Metropolitan Park in 2023.

The event is co-sponsored by MoCA Arlington and Arlington Public Art, a program of Arlington Cultural Affairs, a division of Arlington Economic Development (AED).
