Share Your Feedback on Tactical Speed Humps

In fall 2023, the County reintroduced speed humps in school slow zones as part of a pilot project aiming to reduce vehicle speeds near schools.

We want to learn from you, our community members, about the impacts of and your experience with tactical speed humps at the pilot locations. The last day to give feedback is Sunday, March 31.

Critical Crash Campaign - March Edition

Welcome to March! This month's Vision Zero Critical Crash Campaign focus are 20 mph speed limits in school slow zones.

What's a School Slow Zone?

School Slow Zones are designated areas within 600 feet of a school where the County has reduced speed limits and implemented infrastructure to help foster safe travel for students and families.

What about when school isn't in session? Can I drive fast then?

The new 20 MPH speed limits help keep neighborhood streets safe all day and year-round for kids and families getting to activities, parks, and generally getting around. Lower speed limits help give drivers enough time to check their surroundings for others and reduce the chance of dangerous collisions.
