Arlington’s Community-wide GHG Dashboard is Live!

Arlington County’s GHG Dashboard presents the community-wide anthropogenic (originating from human activity) greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from all major sources as estimated in the 2016 Arlington County Community Greenhouse Gas Emissions InventoryThe GHG Dashboard allows users to interact with the data through visualizations and learn more about the sources of emissions in the County. View Dashboard.

Dear Renters, We Are Seeking Your Input!

Education and resources are often focused on homeowners to green their homes, with less resources available for implementing energy efficiency solutions in leased homes. We want to make energy efficiency more accessible to YOU! Please provide your feedback here to help guide the design of renter-friendly green home resources.

EV Chargers Arrive at Fairlington Community Center

EV Chargers

The chargers at Fairlington Community Center are now installed and ready for residents to plug in! Four ports (two dual port chargers) for public use and two ports (one dual-port charger) for County fleet are installed and operational. This is the first of the five locations (Madison and Lubber Run Community Centers, Central Library, and the Court House surface lot being the other four locations) that are planned installations of publicly-accessible electric vehicle chargers through the FY24 Capital Improvement Plan.

Tree Canopy Fund is Open for Applications!

Apply now for free trees planted on your property through the Tree Canopy Fund program and get a credit on your stormwater utility bill in 2025. Applications are due January 5, 2024 for Spring 2024 planting. Apply today!

 

Adaptive Reuse of Buildings Presentation

You are invited to join Arlington County for the Worchester Polytechnic Institute’s (WPI) Interactive Qualifying Project (IQP) Student Cohort presentation on Strategies for Adaptive Reuse of Buildings, on December 13 from 3:00 – 4:00 pm. The presentation will be hybrid, and accessible by computer audiovisual link in real-time. You can join the meeting here.
