Summer Camp Registration Starts March 21
There’s something for everyone to enjoy this summer in Arlington! Registration for summer camps starts next Tuesday and will be staggered by camp provider type, with Partner Camps registration opening March 21 followed by Parks and Recreation Camps on March 28.

A Look at Flood Resilient Arlington’s First Project
The stormwater detention vault at Cardinal Elementary School is the first project built as part of the Flood Resilient Arlington initiative to reduce flooding caused by increased intensity of storms. Watch how the vault will help reduce flood risk in the Westover neighborhood.
 County Board to Discuss Missing Middle
The County Board will host a public hearing and consider amendments to the General Land Use Plan and the Arlington County Zoning Ordinance related to the multi-year Missing Middle Housing Study at its regular meeting on March 18 and continuing into its March 21 recessed meeting. Community members interested in being speakers can register here.

- What matters most to older Arlingtonians? Join County staff, Arlington Commission on Aging members and community partners for a hybrid interactive discussion to help reimagine aging on March 20.
- The Site Plan Review Committee will host a hybrid public meeting about The Arva on March 20.
- Learn about the work of Arlington’s Community Oversight Board over the past year and hear updates on future initiatives at its anniversary event on March 22.
- See the concepts developed for the intersections along the South George Mason Drive corridor at a virtual public meeting on March 22.
- The Arlington Transit Strategic Plan project team is seeking input on draft recommendations at a virtual community meeting on March 23.
- Become more involved in neighborhood and County-wide interests through the first hybrid in-person and virtual Neighborhood College Program experience. Apply to the spring session by March 24, 2023.
- Arlington County staff and members of the National Landing Business Improvement District will host an in-person open house to share information about transportation, parks, and private development in the Crystal City–Pentagon City area on March 27.
- Help us develop a vision for what potential projects and programming offered through the Arlington Neighborhoods Program would best serve our communities. Share your ideas by April 5.

- Arlington County Police Department will host a “Don’t Press Your Luck” anti-drunk driving event on March 17.
- Join the Master Gardeners of Northern Virginia for a virtual session on March 24 about ferns in the Mid-Atlantic region and the benefits of planting them in your garden.
- Instacart workers who made at least one delivery in Washington, D.C., between Oct. 1, 2016, and April 30, 2018, can receive cash payments of at least $150. Workers must fill out an online claim form by March 25, 2023, to qualify for payment. Applicants do not need to reside in D.C. to be eligible.

 Learn emergency preparedness skills, meet your neighbors, and volunteer to help your community after emergencies. Sign up for the new volunteer training with the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT), which begins April 12.
